Grant's Trail: Grant's Farm
Grant's Farm's web site
|
|
View exotic wildlife from a tram ride, see animal shows, and sample Anheuser Busch products. All of this is available for the
incredible price of...free!
(All those people driving cars have to pay to get into the parking lot, thereby subsidizing us cyclists).
|
|
A highlight of the trail, you can view Clydesdales in the pastures between the parking lot and Pardee Road, without even leaving the trail.
Or you can see these magnificent animals up close in the stables at the north end of the parking lot. There are steps coming down from the trail to the south end of the parking lot.
|
|
There are restrooms and a water fountain in the Clydesdale stable - the large
barn at the north end of the parking lot. The stable is open to the public during
regular Grant's Farm hours.
|
|
Trail mile: 5.25
|
Hours:
Open spring through fall - check Grant's Farm's web site
for current days and times.
|
Parking: There's a large parking lot, but with a per-car charge. A bike rack is located at the south end of the lot, near the entry gate.
We suggest parking at the Tesshire lot for free and riding the 1.3 miles to Grants Farm

DIRECTIONS
From the Trail:
The parking lot is on the west side of the trail, 0.4 mile north of Gravios, and
0.6 mile south of Pardee Road. Can't miss it. Use the
bike rack at the south end of the lot, near the main
entrance to the parking lot.
From 270:
From Hwy 270, take exit 3 (Gravois) and go east on Gravois
3.25 miles. Turn left at Grant Road, which is at the southeast
corner of Grant's Farm. The parking lot is about 1/4 mile
ahead on the right.
From 44:
Take the Elm Ave exit (exit 280). Go south on Elm.
Continue straight across Watson Road. Take the first right
turn after Watson, which is Pardee Road. Continue on this
road through two stop signs, by which time it has turned into
Grand Rd. The Clydesdale pastures will be on the left,
followed by the Grant's Farm parking lot.
